Pakhawaj Musical Instrument
The Pakhawaj is a two-headed Indian drum, similar to the Mridangam. It is also referred to as Mardal, Pakuaj, Pakhvaj or Mardala. The Pakhawaj is used to escort dance and musical performances. The Pakhawaj Indian drum is placed horizontally on a cushion, with the left hand playing the larger bass drum head and the right hand playing the smaller tenor drum head.

The Pakhwaj, Laces is a two-headed Indian drum. Approximately 24 inches long, two-headed wooden shell drum with lace and block tension. Held horizontally, the two opposing heads are bass and tenor. Tuning hammer (HAMR) sold separately. Made in India. |
